Hi there, I am Mandy Schmitz, freelance senior consultant from Berlin, Germany with 10 years of experience across various fields such as online marketing, project & program management (PMO), requirements engineering and agile methodologies.

I have completed my bachelors and masters studies in London and Liverpool in the UK, where I also lived for 3 years before returning to Berlin in 2010. After graduation I started my journey with PayPal Germany in Berlin and have then been given the opportunity to relocate to Paris, France in 2013 to work at the PayPal headquarter for the CEMEA region as a program manager for strategic programs and EMEA-wide roll-outs.

My positive track record of leading high-visibility strategic programs across multiple markets and teams includes for example the launch of the first PayPal TV commercial in Western Europe (FR/IT/ES) and the PayPal domestic launch in Russia. Process documentation and optimisation, as well as the implementation of new workflow tools was also an integral part of my responsibilities in previous roles at PayPal Germany as well as PayPal France.

Furthermore, I am used to leading diverse project teams (also remote) from 5 to 20 team members, providing regular reporting, leading status meetings also with an executive team audience and being responsible for project-/program budgets of several million euros. In my last position I setup the PMO (Project Management Office) and required processes at Weber-Stephen EMEA, the European headquarter of an internationally renowned American barbecue brand from Chicago, USA which I left to start my freelance venture in 2017.

Since then I have been working for a range of different clients across various industries in diverse roles such as program manager, business analyst and requirements engineer. I’d love to hear from you if you have a project idea to discuss.
